Mission

Since our founding in 2007, we have been dedicated to pursuing our mission of building on the strengths of local communities, improving the health and quality of life of our vulnerable neighbors, and preparing community health and citizen service leaders for tomorrow’s communities.

Community, Citizenship, and Engagement

Our relationship with individuals and institutions in local communities is foundational and at the core of who we are as an organization.

It is Project Horseshoe Farm's mission to engage and work with local communities to build upon strengths. By acting as citizen volunteers and as caring, consistent neighbors, we seek to help reinforce the social fabric that is so critical to the healthy function of local communities. By building broad relationships and connections and helping to support and connect multiple local partner organizations, we seek to help strengthen the institutional infrastructure and the interconnection between institutions in local communities.

Service

It is becoming increasingly clear that effective service to the most vulnerable among us requires an integrated approach that spans biological, psychological, social, and community dimensions.

It is Horseshoe Farm's mission to provide volunteer driven and relationship focused service and community-based programs that improve the health and quality of life of our vulnerable neighbors.

Leadership Development

Healthcare, education, and many of the other institutions that form the foundations of our communities are in a period of rapid change.  We believe that we are going to need a generation of community health and citizen service leaders who can help us see and build a better future for communities across our nation.

It is Horseshoe Farm's mission to help prepare future community health and citizen service leaders with the experience, habits, knowledge, and skills needed to contribute to the strength and wellbeing of tomorrow’s communities.
